Why is discrimination against men taken as unimportant? -By Azuka Onwuka

It is obvious that even in the church where fairness should apply, the world thinks that it does not matter when men are denied the same rights extended to women. The world believes that when men are discriminated against, it is not discrimination.

There are churches which insist that men should not wear caps inside the church and women should not leave their hair uncovered in church. But there are churches which believe that it does not matter.

However, when I am in a church which believes that it does not matter, I find it strange, unjust and gender-discriminatory when a man with a cap is told to remove his cap but a woman without a hat or scarf is not disbursed. If the man insists on wearing his cap, it becomes a big issue.

It is obvious that even in the church where fairness should apply, the world thinks that it does not matter when men are denied the same rights extended to women. The world believes that when men are discriminated against, it is not discrimination.

If God does not bother whether a a woman’s hair is covered in church, why should He bother if a man’s hair is covered in church? Do we speak for Him?

When you want to be conservative, please be conservative. But if you want to be liberal, please be liberal. Don’t be conserva-libe. Don’t treat the genders differently.
