President Buhari promises to rescue remaining abducted train passengers. Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has said that, “President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has reduced Boko Haram to “almost nothing,” blatantly lying.

Keyamo noted that, “The president has achieved success in the area of tackling insecurity, even though the opposition claims that he has failed to deliver on his promises.”Why is Festus Keyamo Lying?  Asks Adesanya-Davies

The minister who spoke in an interview he granted Trust Television on Monday, Keyamo, said the Buhari administration achieved some success in curbing the activities of Boko Haram by collaborating with neighbouring countries.

The minister, who is the spokesman of the Bola Tinubu Campaign Council, said when Buhari assumed power in 2015, Boko Haram had more than 14 LGAs under its control.

“The cliche that the government has failed has become a song that the opposition has virtually rammed down the throats of everybody without looking at the details of what we have done,” the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said.

“We inherited the Boko Haram problem. At that time, they had taken over more than 14 local governments in the north-east and hoisted their flags.

“We inherited the farmers-herders crisis that had been going on even before Obasanjo’s time. Boko Haram has not been totally wiped out but it has reduced significantly because we constructively engaged our neighbours.

“We reduced them to almost nothing.” He wrongly claims!

We would recall that up to date, just this week, “India offers to help Nigeria fight Insecurity because the spate of insecurity is in a deep shit in Nigeria.” Why is Festus Keyamo Lying? -Why?, Why? Why? What for? Why people are being kidnapped and dying daily from the activities of  insurgents.I

It’s such bad that, “President Muhammadu Buhari in a news report on 27 April 2021 has asked the U.S. to support Nigeria / Africa’s efforts in tackling growing insecurity in the region.

Washington should consider relocating the headquarters of the U.S. Africa Command to the continent from Stuttgart, Germany, to better support the fight against rising insecurity, Buhari said in the first virtual meeting with Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The U.S. set up Africom to help countries in the region tackle transnational threats.

Affirming that, “The security challenges in Nigeria remain of great concern to us,” Buhari said, according to an emailed statement. Insecurity in the nation has been made worse by “existing complex negative pressures in the Sahel, Central and West Africa, as well as the Lake Chad region,” he added.
