Why Students Should Consider School Hostel As The Best Residence -By Ola Suleiman

Students in the school’s hostel always get connected, know more people from different backgrounds; its essence cannot be overemphasized. As a student, connecting with new good friends is a three-unit course if not four-unit which must not be failed. The friendship will widen one experience, tolerance, adaptation, consideration, love, and fleeing from bigotry.

As a student of the most peaceful university in Nigeria, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, it is pertinent to shed light on why my fellow students should consider the school’s hostel as the best hall of residence— for them to reside in. With all sense of pride, UDUS hostel is the most conducive place a student would love to live, in order to enjoy a well deserved peaceful and luxurious life.

There are certain privileges that students who live in the school’s hostel do enjoy, few are discussed below:

Availability of Water: I mean water that never run dry. When it comes to availability of water, that of the school’s hostel is incomparable to any other halls of residence, either private hostels within the school campus, or the apartments outside the campus. Students always enjoy free water at the hostel from daybreak till dusk.

Uninterrupted Power Supply: In every of the UDUS owned halls of residence, electricity is hundred percent insured.  They make available all necessary alternatives to power supply (Mikano generator), and power solar energy which is capable of supplying the entire Sokoto state at once, without being disrupted.

There are also competent electrical engineers to help students whenever there’s call for technical support.

Security: Danfodites staying in the school hostel are safe from the hands of the invaders, hoodlums, peace takers and the likes, due to the presence of security officers in all the blocks. The security is ready to foster adequate peace and unity among the students despite their tribe differences.

Building Strong Friendships: Students in the school’s hostel always get connected, know more people from different backgrounds; its essence cannot be overemphasized. As a student, connecting with new good friends is a three-unit course if not four-unit which must not be failed. The friendship will widen one experience, tolerance, adaptation, consideration, love, and fleeing from bigotry.

Hostel life builds courage and sense of self-esteem in the students, and with all these being said, I will recommend that the newly admitted students for the 2022/2023 Academic Session program should not have a second thought, but apply for the school accommodation as soon as the portal is opened for the new students.
