Zulum’s Statement: A Clash Between Reality And Empathy -By Muhammed-Bello Buhari

Published

Governor Zulum of Borno State

Zulum: Despite Recent Killings, We (North East and Borno in particular) are Better under Buhari than under Goodluck.

Yeah, it’s a fact beyond reasonable doubt that they are better off security-wise under the Buhari administration than during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. (i.e based on the records of the security situation in the state between 2011 to 2015).

So dear Nigerians, what are you angry at? He only said the truth which is a fact. But in the matter of insecurity, and where it’s nagging hands are still stretching around us, I see the use of the word, “Better” like an insult to the lives lost. I had preferred the use of the word, ‘Worst’ in comparing the two administrations that woefully failed to protect our lives and properties. As there is no “Better” whatsoever when people are being helplessly and mercilessly killed and slaughtered at random.

The Governor should’ve said that ‘GEJ administration was worst than the present administration of Muhammadu Buhari.’ Because using “Better” to compare two evils is like you have come to accept the lesser evil. And as Nigerians, in a democratic county, guided by a ground norm, we cannot accept that.

Notwithstanding that that fact is only applicable to the Northeast. The opposite is the reality in the remaining Northern regions. Because we in the Northwest, this administration is not only the worst in terms of insecurity but the most reckless, inhuman, and irresponsible we have ever had.

I was very much inundated to comment on this when I saw some misguided Nigerians called ‘BUHARISTS’ celebrating what Zulum said. Be rest assured that he only speaks for his state and not the Northeast, and talk less of the whole Northern region. Wait, is there even anything to celebrate? Really! They can’t help themselves, ‘celebrating failure’ is just in their DNA. Just recently, 43 innocent Nigerians were massacred and slaughtered like rams, and you are here celebrating a statement that merely commended your slave-master. No, evil is evil whatsoever.

Indeed, insecurity have cost us our socio-economic freedom and established immense poverty in our life. And like a monstrous octopus, it has been spreading its nagging, prehensile tentacles into our households, villages, communities, towns and all over our country. We are bad governed, we are neglected, we are ill-housed, we are ill-schooled, we are… I have seen it here in the North; I have seen it in the South; Its all over the world of the common Nigerian.

And you’re there celebrating failure and fighting everyone on the other side—do you ever stop to think about your condition and what being a BUHARIST has actually benefited you? Psst.

By the way, the biological BUHARISTS at the Villa actually studied abroad in the UK! And they are well protected from being slaughtered like rams. Wake up!
