Christianity & Daddy Freeze: Discipline, Love, Unanswered Prayers And Tendencies -By Nneka Okumazie

It is possible to say the likeliest prayers to receive immediate physical action, are those that directly bring glory to GOD, for His work.

Some can say it means to pray in His will, but prayers for Peter in prison that got him out, or for rain by Prophet Elijah, or for fire he called down, were situations that brought direct glory to GOD, and aided His work.

So while the prayers of the righteous reaches GOD immediately and He answers – in the Spirit, physical action may lag.

GOD’s love for genuine Christian is true, but He doesn’t do everything wanted, asked, requested, or needed.

The LORD understands people more than people understand people. There is a tendency to misbehave if GOD shows too much love to anyone by answering prayers, or frequent communications.

So the LORD lets His people wait on Him. He lets them learn through experience. He also reveals new stuff over time.

Relationship with GOD is not always revelation, answer, communication, or felt presence. There are the times it looks like GOD has forsaken, or abandoned. There are times when it seems like GOD isn’t speaking as He does. There are times when things aren’t revealed. There are also situations requiring excess prayers and waiting to hear from the LORD.

GOD is Superior to all. GOD is Supreme Sovereign. There is no equality in relationship with the One who knows all, sees all, understands all, ageless, matchless and wisest.

There are several examples in the Scriptures where a follower of the LORD got carried away thinking that frequent communication with GOD meant some excuse to blame the LORD, or discuss without total respect.

[1 Kings 17:20, And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my GOD, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?] [Job 38:1, Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said] [Job 38:2, Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?] [Job 38:4, Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.] [2 Corinthians 12:7, And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.] [2 Corinthians 12:8, Three different times I begged the LORD to take it away.] [2 Corinthians 12:9, Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.] [2 Corinthians 12:10, Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.] [Matthew 26:40, And He cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?] [Matthew 26:41, Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.]

There are more examples of how people thought that closeness to GOD meant a pass to certain words or acts. But GOD knows what exactly anyone is capable of, and keeps His people in check with different measures.

Unanswered prayer doesn’t invalidate the Power of GOD, or His love.

[John 4:24, GOD [is] a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship [Him] in Spirit and in Truth.]

Connection to GOD is made in the Spirit. Answered prayers are first spiritual. Then physical follows, without a timeline. Right place with GOD spiritually is the only thing needed to know – sometimes, no matter what the physical storms is.

GOD could have made it that all prayers results in immediate answer, but people always have schemes, and prayers could have fallen into that.

Prayers have to be continuous. It has to always be made, in everything and in every area.

[Jude 1:20, But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost] [Romans 12:12, Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;]

So GOD is cautious about how much people can abuse his gifts and fruit, and the rules of His Kingdom are different. He said if you must worship. Assuming worship means every way to get to the LORD, it can also mean if one must have Faith, if one must pray, if one must give in Church, etc. It has to be in Spirit and in Truth.

Spirit is connecting spiritually something done physically; in truth, like in the heart, in honesty and genuinely. The couples who tried to give in Acts, but got rejected didn’t give in Truth.

Just like GOD is cautious about answering prayers physically, the New Testament was also cautious to not discuss giving in Church, or in the Temple, to avoid people that would take it as atonement for sin, or permission to sin, or to seek wealth desperately.

GOD answers prayers.

[1 John 5:14, And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, He heareth us:] [James 5:16, Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.] [Judges 6:13, And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where [be] all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.] [Judges 6:16, And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.]
