WIND OF CHANGE -By Joshua Bamidele

Across the path ran the waters
The flow fast and beautiful
No bed to be made
The drench appalls

The flow is gone
The path is clear
The riverbed at sight
Rest calls

Make no tents in haste
Lest the tide makes unexpected appearance
Lay not the beds
Lest a gush sweeps you off

Be not swayed by clear path
The rocks hide its spring
A moment it gives
The next it takes

Folly creeps he to bed
The drought is appalled
Dry land brings him bad times
His losses he count

Here comes the down pour
Heavy is its fall
The sleeper caught unaware
To thy tents Oh Israel

The field is watered
The grains feel the chill
The farmer dances
The joy of harvest

The land is green
The flowers bloom
The cherry tree brings forth fruit
The pawpaw fresh and ripe

The cribs are filled
The silo overstretched
Harvest more than storage
The market calls

The people are fed
The nation is nourished
Stomachs filled
Time to ponder on change
