Message: The Communicable Fulness Of Christ -By Isaiah Ogedegbe

As you give time to God in your prayers and in your obedience, in faith in Him, may the transforming power hit your spirit, your soul and body, and transform you so that you’ll be in the image of your Saviour Jesus Christ and so shall it be. Receive it as you believe. Receive it and possess it in Jesus’ name I pray.

And I did promise that it shall come one of the days: the Communicable Fulness of Christ. We are going to read a lengthy passage, then we shall go on. Turn with me to the Book of Colossians 1:9-19, 26-27; 2:9-10.

The Lord will minister to us and the communicable fulness of Christ shall be ours in Jesus’ name.It is God’s desire that you be like Christ. That is the purpose of God: to bring us into the likeness of His Son. And that is why Jesus became man, identified with us and He desires that we be like Him. You know the Bible declares that but as many as received Christ, God gave them power/authority to become the sons of God… It is that you be like Him. That is the mind of God and that is His purpose: to create in you the image of Christ so that when God looks at you He will be seeing Christ in you and that when the world looks at you the world will see Christ in you.

In all areas of your life you be Christ-like. The Christ-likeness is God’s desire, that He multiplies His Son and we become His to the extent that He upgraded us through His Son, making us not only friends of Christ but we are co-heirs, that all that He is might be ours. That is God’s mind.

Now let’s try to understand this communicable because that word, it will make us to go to more or less the negative, something we don’t like. But it is from there we will understand it… You understand it quicker when you talk of communicable disease, because that is where we are going now. When we say the communicable fulness of Christ that is going to be yours, it is going to be through this type of communication.

Now when we talk of communicable disease, we are talking about diseases that are, that can be passed from one to another like measles or chickenpox or “apolo” (conjunctivitis). If someone has “apolo” maybe among students (let me go there) in the school, if someone is affected by “apolo,” if you allow that “apolo” man to stay in the class for too long, before you know it, it will be multiplying. You don’t need to touch it first.

Before you know, whether from the sight, I don’t know. I think it will take our nurses to tell us how it jumps. If it is type of cough, there is a type of cough too, you know. It will make the doctors to separate you from among the people. Otherwise, before you know it, many people are into it.

Now when you understand it that way, the Spirit will lead you to understand this and your understanding is going to bring it to pass in your life in the name of Jesus Christ. You know that is about disease. Otherwise, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 13:20 that when you walk with wise men you become wise. In that case, whether they sit you down and teach you, I don’t know. But because you are walking with them, before you know it, you are getting wise. You see. What am I saying? That desire of God should come to pass in our lives that we be like Christ. Amen.

That is, when you read your Ephesians 4:8-11, you are going to see that Christ went into the down below and then He ascended. And the Bible declares when He came He led captivity captive and received gifts for men and the gifts He brought. You know when you read the five-fold ministry, some are given the gift of apostle. Some are apostles, some are prophets, some are evangelists, some are pastors and teachers. For what purpose? It says for the edification of the saints, to empower them for the work of the ministry. It doesn’t stop there, that we become perfect. And when we talk of perfection, perfection in the Scripture and in the life of the Christian is measured by Christ, not by the bishop. If you are humble like the bishop, you are not yet humble. If you think you are wise like the pastor, you are not wise. You need to be wise like Jesus. Jesus said be wise as serpents and be harmless as dove. You cannot compare the wisdom of serpent with that of Christ. Even in wealth, if you want to measure your wealth, measure it with Christ.

The Bible says that you know the grace of the Lord that though He was rich (He is a Lord of all. He left His glory, glorious throne in heaven and came to this world of wickedness to identify with us, to look for us that are lost and to save us, and transform us and bring us to the level where His image will be found in us), He became poor so that you through His poverty might become rich. Anything at all about us, God wants to see us that we are growing into the likeness of Christ. That is God’s desire.

Now the passage we’ve just read has a lot to tell us. We are going to lift out from there just five fulness of Christ…Number one has to do with all fulness of life. In Christ we have all fulness of life… Now this fulness of life, we call it the all fulness of life that is in Christ, He wants to impact to us. What says the Scripture? That in Him was life, in Christ was life and that life was the light of men. That is the light that shines in darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend. This life Jesus wants to impact to us. We don’t pay for it. All we need do is faith. As you fall in love with Christ, you trust Him, you believe in Him, you are given authority and power to become like Him. You become like Him. You become a child of God. I hope you have faith? You don’t go to market to buy it. It comes by hearing the Word of God. As you hear it, you believe it, the faith rises and whatever you need will be supplied.

The Bible declares that for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. In Jesus is the fulness of life. That’s why He said, You know Satan the devil, he comes for three major assignments. He comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. And Jesus said, I am come that you who have your life stolen, killed, damaged, destroyed, that you may have life. You are going to have it more abundantly, that is, in its fulness. That is one fulness in Christ that we will have. As people associate with those who have communicable disease and before they know it it’s there, that is how you are going to get this one in the name of Jesus. It is by faith you will have it.

Now number two, we have all fulness of pardoning mercy. This fulness of, that is the all fulness of pardoning mercy is in Christ. He is the only One for whose sake God accepted the offerings in the Old Testament, because they were pictures pointing to Him. And the time came Jesus arrived, and when John saw Him he said, This is the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. He offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. And the Bible declares Him as the propitiation for our sins. In other words, He is the only sacrifice that could appease God. That is why after the sacrifice at Cavalry no other sacrifice is accepted for sin. If today anything goes wrong and you don’t have the knowledge of what I’m saying, you may want to go to your family and let the elders sit down and buy—you buy a goat… that they will kill and apply the blood before your “emuerivwin” (abominable deed) could be cleansed. You are wasting your time. It is the blood of Jesus. It says, What can wash away my sins? What says it? That nothing but the blood of Jesus. That’s all. Look. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice that is the propitiation for our sins, God rather than what He said in that covenant in the days of Noah, the rainbow to remind Him and us, there is that speaks greater reminding than that rainbow and that is the blood of Jesus. For it God can forgive the blackest of sins. That fulness, the all fulness of the pardoning mercy allows God to justify the greatest, the chiefest of sinners. And that is why Paul said that it is of a truth that Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom he is the chief and I am the fellow chief with Paul, because I was very bad, very condemned, but that pardoning mercy in its fulness brought me out and it’s bringing you out. And He says, Come now, let us reason together. Though your sins be as scarlet, there’s going to be a washing to the extent that God will look at you and see Christ formed in you as if you have never sinned at all. Then you are declared saints. And Paul would write to the church at Colosse or Rome or that and the church at Makro Street, addressing you as saints. It is by the pardoning mercy of Christ. You’ll get it. You are not going to pay for it; it’s communicable… So when we talk of communicable disease, it’s terrible. Before you know it, eyes are scratching you. They say, What’s it? Somebody will look at you and say, This is “apolo.” You were discussing with one “apolo” man in the afternoon not knowing it has jumped. That is how the fulness of the goodness of Jesus will jump to you in the name of Jesus.

In Ephesians 2:1, the Bible declares that ye who were dead in sins and trespasses hath He quickened, made alive. Amen. In fact, you have the divine nature. He impacts to you His nature which is divine. And that is why you are terrible to Satan and to the enemies. You need to know who you are. Amen. And thirdly, all fulness of peace and comfort, they are in Christ. The nations have spent a lot acquiring weapons to fight and get peace. You don’t gun peace down and carry it home… The peace we enjoy as Christians cost God much, but to us it’s by grace… It is a free gift. You don’t qualify for it. God gave it to us. The only thing is believe it. If you don’t believe it, it is not yours. A gift is not a gift until it is accepted, that is the saying. So if you don’t accept it, well, it is not yours. But I pray that you accept it in the name of Jesus. Jesus said, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I prepare a place, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. He says, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled. These are communicable blessings from Jesus. Are you ready? Are you preparing your heart? Because by the Word there is a transfusion already, that you are catching up with it. I don’t know how bad you are. The pardoning mercy in its fulness is enough to deliver you. And the peace of God that passes all understanding will be made available unto you… You are going to receive it in the name of Jesus. Let the peace of God come into your heart.

Number four is all fulness of spiritual strength… Last week Bible study when I said I pity people who go to look for power to come and do the work of the ministry. They need deliverance. Jesus is power. Jesus Himself is power. When He comes into you, you have the power. He said, Your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. He said, You will have power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be an effective witness. When Jesus comes into your life, you have the power. This is not power from herbalists. It is the power of God… When the power of God comes, it comes through Christ. He is the power of God. Spiritual strength. He said, Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you in Luke 10:19. So when we talk of spiritual strength, because that is where the wizards and witches terrify people, you are not to be terrified by wizards and witches. Even as I am talking now if you are a witch and you are in the house, if you are a wizard and you are in the house, you either repent and receive the power of God or let it manifest against you. That’s what it is, because that’s how it manifested against Elymas—say, Be blind for a while and it was so…Lastly, we have all fulness of sanctifying grace… God says, Be ye holy, for I that called you am holy. When He dwells in you, He sanctifies you. He separates you unto Himself and that is separation from the world that we don’t care to listen to. In Romans 12, he says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice unto God, holy and acceptable unto Him. That is your reasonable service. And in verse two, it says, Don’t be conformed to this world and yet we want to conform to the world to the extent the world has come into us. When people look at us, they see more of the world than Christ and when God looks at us rather than see the image of His Son it is the world. May God deliver us in Jesus’ name.

Alright, we want to exercise our faith and pray because time is not in our favour. Do you remember this communicable glory that came upon Moses when he spent time with God for forty days and forty nights? He never knew that something had happened to him. He never knew, but when he came to discuss with the multitude, with the Israelites, they could not—they say, Your skin is shining. No, we cannot, and Moses never knew. Well, he was compelled to get a veil and cover while talking to them, but when going to God he would remove it. Because when you bring your light of candle to where the fluorescent is, one has to bow to the other one. So the glory that was got… cannot withstand that of God, but at least Moses got it. Amen.

Shall we stand to our feet? 2 Corinthians 3:18, But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. As we behold the glory of the Lord as in a glass, something is happening. A transformation is happening. We are being changed. That is divine work. It is the work of God. It is the work of His Spirit. We are changed into the same image, that image of Christ we are beholding as in a mirror. There is a transforming force working, changing us into the same image we are beholding from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

This very moment and this is the message: the communicable fulness of God is available to you. That is the message. All you need is in this message for you. Desire it, believe it, focus on it. No wonder the Bible says, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. We look at so many things. We focus on problem rather than the solution and then we become more problematic than getting the solution. Let’s gaze our eyes. As we believe Him, as we devote time to be with Him like Moses in prayer, in the study of the Word, in hearing the Word and in obeying Him (His instructions), before you know it you are no more the same.
