NAFDAC arrest manufacturer of counterfeit cosmetics in Lagos
Products like Skin Balance Perfect Knuckle Organic Peel Therapy and Golden Face Triple Action Concentrated Perfect Skin were among the inferior goods that the company was producing illegally.
Pius Effiong Eyoh, the proprietor of Pasco Global Limited, has been detained by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, or NAFDAC, for producing, packaging, distributing, and retailing a variety of inferior and fake cosmetic items.
The NAFDAC Investigation & Enforcement Directorate discovered the illicit operations of the phoney cosmetics manufacturer at the Balogun Trade Fair Gate, Trade Fair Complex, in Lagos, according to a statement released by the agency on its X handle, @NafdacAgency.
Products like Skin Balance Perfect Knuckle Organic Peel Therapy and Golden Face Triple Action Concentrated Perfect Skin were among the inferior goods that the company was producing illegally.
“Eyoh was caught in the act of processing and packaging these cosmetic products with false labels bearing French inscriptions and a Cameroonian address.
“NAFDAC’s intervention led to the sealing of the illegal manufacturing premises, Eyoh’s arrest, and the scheduling of his substandard products for destruction,” the statement affirmed.
