Remaining abducted corps members have been rescued, according to the NYSC DG

Recall that Bassey Daniel, the only son and an indigene of Afahaube Itam, in Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom State was kidnapped alongside other seven prospective corps members exactly on August 17, 2023 on their way to Sokoto Orientation camp.

Solomon Bassey Daniel, the final of the eight potential National Youth Service (NYSC) members from Akwa Ibom State who were abducted in Zamfara state, has at last been released.

According to a family member, Mr. Umoh, who verified this to Saturday Vanguard, he got the good news Friday morning at his place of employment in the Eket local government area.

Umoh, who was overcome with happiness at the turn of events, revealed that he had learned that his son Daniel had been set free on Thursday, August 22.

“We were told last week that my boy will be freed this week. As at yesterday (Thursday) we didn’t hear anything. But I got the information this morning that he regained his freedom on Thursday. I give God all the glory “, he simply said.
