However, the sector has faced numerous challenges, including poor infrastructure, limited access to markets, and inefficient production practices. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the need to revolutionize the livestock industry to ensure its sustainability and enhance its contribution to food security, economic growth, and rural development in Nigeria.
