Dada Olusegun, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Social Media, responded to the President’s gaffe while getting onto a parade car during the June 12 Democracy Day event in Abuja.

In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Olusegun reassured the public, stating, “Mr. President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues.”

This declaration was made in response to videos that went viral and showed President Tinubu momentarily losing his balance while getting into the car.

The President immediately regained his composure and carried on with the proceedings without any additional problems in spite of the occurrence. One of the main events of the statewide ceremonies honouring Nigeria’s annual Democracy Day was the ceremony at Eagles Square.
