It is the cause, not the death, that makes the martyr ~Napoleon Bonaparte.

Indeed, you start this sleeping, it’s exactly a moment that your parents mark with red and bloody pen, and a time that you forcefully take your first step to this boundless trip of millions mile that everyone await.

My eyes welled with tears whenever I remembered your Mama’s words of Adieu!.

Surely, you was shoot and killed, but the spirit of your helpless soul remained intact with ours.

Suleiman Yusuf Bomai (Walid), the serving Corp member from Yobe state that was killed In between Lokoja-Abuja highway on 21st December, 2020 by kidnappers on his way back from NYSC Orientation camp in Osun state, a graduate from the Department of English language in Federal University Gashua. A great ally with heart of serving community through a socio-mutual interaction, the memories and your achievements is something could never be erased in our hearts.

The Alumna of FECOET Demonstration Secondary School Potiskum lost their amiable President, the state footballers lost their skilled one in the Arena, our fellow grammarian lost their hardworking comrade.

His Death is indeed a lost not to his parents, friends, and town only, but to the whole Yobe state and the Nation at large.

After we received the tragic news of his lost, we turned On our two side ear and listening to the national dailies, weather, government in both state or federal level could mourn with and share this difficult time together but unfortunately they did not.

We learnt that there are many heroes that make a history but the most honourable is one who died in serving his state.

As prophet Muhammad SAW clearly in famous hadith: a person who died in securing (serving) his mother land is nothing but a Martyr.

Dishonouring Bomai’s Death is simply a defy and misinterpretation to our national Anthem; since that his labour as our hero is likely to past be in vain.

Goodnight Brother
