UPDATE: Victims of Lagos crash hospitalised

A yet-to-be-ascertained number of passengers were hospitalised following an accident that involved two commercial buses in the Agege NITEL area of Lagos on Tuesday.

 The cause of the crash could not be ascertained as the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority was yet to provide details of the incident as of press time.

 But in a message posted by the agency on its Twitter handle, @followlastma, it was stated that the “serious accident involved two commercial buses along Old Abeokuta Motor Road by Gengeto Bus stop, opposite Scheme 1 Estate, inward Agege NIITEL.

 “All the casualties involved in the incident have been taken to the nearest hospital.”

 In a video that accompanied the tweet, one of the buses was seen with its window side facing the ground beside the road, while the second bus, had its side bashed.
