Al-Ayyam Al-Bid (The White Days) -By Olayinka Abdur-Razzaq
‘Abduk-Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ( peace be upon him) used to enjoin fasting these Three Bright Days, saying, ‘They are equivalent to fasting the whole month’. [Nasa’i]
Al-Ayyam Al-Bid are the three brighter days( 13th, 14th and 15th) in every lunar month. These days are very special before the Prophet, peace be upon him and rewardable before Allah Subhaana wa tāa’la.
It is reported on the authority of Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him that the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him used to fast the 13th, 14th and 15th of every lunar month even if he is on journey. SubhaanalLah! This shows the great importance of these days.
With this, the white days of this month (13th 14th and 15th) starts tomorrow. This is equivalent to ( Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). Therefore, don’t forget to fast it if you’re capable and revive it by reminding others of the days.

Allahu Akbar! reward of the whole month! Don’t you see you have been missing? So, don’t hesitate to be among the beneficiaries of this great reward in this month.
