The Shortest Summary of the Christian Religion According To Its Founder -By Joe Dauda

In spite of my deep admiration for his words of wisdom and his great work in diverse areas, I’m compelled to mention Reno Omokri as one of these high profile pastors who openly identify with the Big Brother Show. But an Imam will be ashamed to be associated with that sort of show out of a sense of decorum. Not Christian Pastors.

Matthew 7:12 (KJV)
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

But what character traits will people “having a form of godliness (Christians)” be exhibiting in the last days?

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)
. . . in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

As an example, consider the very popular Big Brother Show. In spite of the decadence it promotes (sprinkled with some positive things of course) the main drivers (in terms of audience participation and voting) are Christians. Even Pastors are blatantly in support. Some unpopular portions of Scripture that may explain today’s situation. They are unpopular exactly because nobody quotes them.

1.
Matthew 6:3-4 (KJV)
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

But these days, some Pastors (certainly not all Pastors) ask people to donate for projects and categorize these potential givers publicly based on the amount they pledge to give. To baptize this aberration and give it a holy scent, they then proceed to pray for these people and their families and their businesses. And then they proceed to the next category. Sometimes, the amount requested is in dollars, providing ample opportunity for pride and class consciousness among church members. Does this practice not pressure “poor” members into wanting to do anything (legal or not) to join the favoured class?

2.
Mark 8:34, 36, 38 (KJV)
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

3.
Luke 16:15 (KJV)
And he said unto them . . . that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
