We all know, how agriculture is very important and essential in our country. It has been and still is (important). It has help in many ways such as creating peace among countries by promoting inter-state relationship through import and exporting of agricultural resources and has help most countries to develop themselves, and created job opportunities for citizens and has been a source of living even for the low class in the community or country for survivals

The science or practice of farming, includes cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other product. Knowing that we have different types of agriculture such as shifting cultivation, substance farming, pastoralism, and intensive farming. As all the important would be looked at, we must note that laborers are needed to be paid to work diligently and even though machine’s have been invented to do some of this farm work, they still need to be controlled by people (workers).

DEFINITION

Agriculture is generally known as farming. It is an art and science that prudent endeavor to reshape a part of earth’s crust through cultivation of plants and other crops as well as raising livestock for sustenance, or other necessities for human being and economic gain.

Agriculture plays a chiefly role in economy as well as it is considering the backbone of the economic system for developing countries. For decades, agriculture has been related with production of vital food crops. The present era of farming contains dairy, fruit, forestry, poultry bee keeping, and arbitrary etc. However, it could be referred to as promotion, processing, marketing, and distribution of crops and livestock product. Civilization began with agriculture, and though humanity has changed significantly, agriculture still remain very important. In certain countries, but the reality is that every country in the world depends on agriculture for one thing or another. Here are some reasons why agriculture is important;

It’s the main source of raw materials: Many raw materials, whether it’s cotton, sugar, wood, or palm oil, come from agriculture. These materials are essential to major industries in ways many people aren’t even aware of such as the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, diesel fuel, plastic, and more. While developed countries don’t depend on agriculture as much as they used to their economies would definitely take a hit if all exports suddenly stopped.

It provides employment: The agricultural industry is still one of the biggest sources of employment and in many are, it’s actually booming. Whether it’s working as a farmer, harvester, technician for farm equipment, scientist, and so on, there are plenty of jobs available in this field. In developing countries, agricultural jobs help reduce high rate of unemployment when it comes to reducing poverty evidence shows that focusing on agriculture is significantly more effective than investing in other areas

It can help heal the environment: Agriculture possesses the power to harm or heal. When farmers prioritize biodiversity on their land, it benefits the earth. Having more biodiversity results in healthier soil, less erosion, better water conversation, and healthier pollinators. This is all good news for the environment as a whole, making agriculture an important part of the cycle of life.

In conclusion, the spirit of agriculture has to be inculcated into the younger generation by educating them on the important of agriculture, and the benefits It has to the society and the country at large with skills and method of farming and maintenance of farm from been attack by farm invaders such as, termites and other factor that could be of hindrance for the growth of the farm, and even made it a filled of study in their curriculum.

It has really become a dogmatic true fact that agriculture has a very great importance to play in live of farmers, homes, and even the country at large as it helps in almost every aspect or livelihood. The important of agriculture should be looked into and not to be taken for levity or carelessness and then agriculture and its importance would be known and even looked into for the progress of the country.
