Just How Close Are We To The Ezekiel 38 War? Clues from an Islamic Prophecy That Is Sure To Arrest Your Attention No Matter How Worldly-Minded and Carefree You Are -By Joe Dauda

In his book, Jarrar presents a prediction that Israel will cease to exist in 2022, which he formulated based on mathematical calculations of the number 19 and a combination of gematria in the verses of the Qur’an dealing with the children of Israel and the discovery of the truth.

Ezekiel 38 War

Just for the record, I do not believe that this is actually an Islamic prophecy, even though I believe its timing is either accurate or nearly so. What I believe about this prophecy is that the powers that be are sending a message and perhaps trying to mentally prepare the Islamic world for the coming attack against Israel, to be led by Russia. Remember that this attack is not to fight Israel but to completely annihilate Israel. I think this prophecy is more of a mobilization effort for radical Sunni Muslims and their co-travelers in Shia Islam, led by Iran (known as Persia in the Bible). I have no personal hatred for radical Sunni Muslims or Shia Muslims (and even Iranians) but absolutely believe Ezekiel’s prophecy and the role these characters will play. As stated in my earlier posts, there is abundant evidence that proves that, apart from Turkey and a few hard line Arab nations, much of the Arab world is now at peace with Israel. You can believe me if you like but Saudi Arabia, for example, is already neck deep in diplomatic romance with Israel to the extent that Saudi money was recently invested in Israel. This is apart from the anticipatory approval the Saudis have already given for Israel to use their airspace, in case of an airstrike to take out Iran’s nuclear sites. Unthinkable just a few years ago. Note also that, without Saudi Arabia’s permission, none of the 4 Arab nations that signed peace treaties with Israel under the sponsorship of President Donald Trump would have been able to do so.

My reason for doubting the status of this prophecy as an Islamic prophecy is that it is just 30 years old. But I would like to be corrected by any Muslim scholar who can prove that this eschatological “knowledge” existed in Islam before 1992.

The crux of the matter is that, whether or not this prophecy is from the Quran, some people somewhere are predicting the annihilation of the State of Israel and doing so through Islamic fundamentalists who have links with the Muslim Brotherhood. For those who may not know, the Muslim Brotherhood is a group categorized as terrorists by the government of Egypt and banned from participation in politics in Egypt and feared in several moderate Arab countries.

Below is the prophecy. You are encouraged to draw your own conclusions. I’m taking it for granted that those conversant with the Ezekiel 38 prophecy already know that God intervenes to save Israel by instigating a massive case of friendly fire between the invading forces, apart from using an earthquake, an overflowing rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Ezekiel 38:21-22. This intervention is clearly not because Israel is righteous. God clearly states that His reason is for the unbelievers to know that He is God. He even explained something interesting. After His divine intervention:

“. . .  the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies. Ezekiel 39:23.

Here comes the prophecy

In December 1992, Israel deported 415 terrorist operatives and senior figures from Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad to Lebanon. The deportees set up a tent camp in Marj a-Zohur in the no-man’s land north of the Security Zone within Lebanon, which Israel controlled.  Among the deportees was Sheikh Basam Nahad Jarrar, who was a senior Hamas figure.

During his stay in Lebanon, Jarrar began distributing a mathematical calculation he made based on verses from the Koran, according to which the State of Israel would be eliminated in 2022.

In 1995, Jarrar first published his book entitled “Israel will be gone in 2022 – A Koranic Prophecy or a Numerical Coincidence” (إوال إسرائيل ٢٠٢٢ م نبوءة أم ُصدف رقم ّية).

In his book, Jarrar presents a prediction that Israel will cease to exist in 2022, which he formulated based on mathematical calculations of the number 19 and a combination of gematria in the verses of the Qur’an dealing with the children of Israel and the discovery of the truth. To this, Jarrar attached a testimony from 1992 of an Islamic preacher named ‘Abd al-Manam Saleh, also known as Muhammad Ahmad al-Rashd, who was one of the prominent leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Iraq. According to the testimony, his mother told him that in 1948 an elderly Jewish neighbor who lived in Iraq came to see his mother. The woman was crying. His mother asked her why she was crying because it was a happy day for the Jews due to the establishment of the state of  Israel. The old woman replied that she was crying because the State of Israel would be destroyed after 76 years. Because the calculation of the Muslim calendar is according to the moon, 76 lunar years come out to 74 solar years according to their calculation. So it is 2022 according to their method.

Over the years, this calculation has taken on the status of a kind of prophecy hidden between the verses of the Qur’an among clerics and pro-Hamas Islamic believers. Even among Muslim clerics in Egypt, Jarrar’s calculations were accepted as correct.

Even these days, Jarrar continues to claim the correctness of his calculations and even uses exact dates for the events to take place.

On March 5, 2022, Jarrar announced that, in his estimation, the time frame for realizing his interpretation is between January 1, 2022 and July 4, 2022, when the chance of “fulfilling the prophecy” is 98%. Jarrar says that it is possible that the war with Israel will be held for a number of days and possibly less than that. Gerar indicates dates on which significant events will occur according to his calculations: June 29, 2022 according to Surah 54 verse 45 “This public will suffer defeat and retreat backwards”. On July 8, 2022 there will be a day of ‘and a decapitation’ which the Muslims mark in the bio before the Feast of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha).

In parallel with Jarrar, additional calculations were distributed by Muslim clerics regarding the date of the liquidation of the State of Israel, some of which contradict his forecast. The most prominent of these is the forecast of Hamas founder and leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, who, in 2011, set 2027 as the date the State of Israel ceases to exist.

In a speech delivered in Gaza by senior Hamas figure Fathi Hamad (‘Abu Masab’), a member of the Hamas Politburo in 2014, he said: “The enemy has 8 years left, only 8 years left for our enemy until he leaves our land in a decisive battle.”

In 2014, the Hamas movement in Gaza established the “End-of-Days Assurance Institution.”

On September 30, 2021, this institution was held in Gaza, with a conference attended by Yahya Sanwar and other senior Hamas figures and other factions. The conference dealt with plans for the day after the liquidation of the State of Israel and the “liberation” of Palestine. At the conference, decisions were made in principle on the conduct of the Palestinians in the transition phase between the elimination of the State of Israel and the establishment of the new Palestinian state on the ruins of Israel. In the termination notice the conference declared: “The time has come to act, the preparations for the liberation of Palestine began from the spirit of liberation that prevailed at this conference, and of course from the preparations of the warriors eager to liberate the land and holy places, we are towards the victory God has promised his servants.”

Yahya Sanwar (the Hamas official that was part of the 30th September 2021 conference) was the very one that gave a speech in Gaza a few weeks ago encouraging Palestinians to use knives or axes and kill Israelis. To prove how effective Sanwar’s message was, 3 Israelis were butchered less than two weeks ago by Palestinians. You guessed right: they were butchered with knives and axes.
