NSCEA: Reflect the Christian School category in TYPE OF SCHOOL in Nigeria

Why should the Christians always have to monitor them so closely incase of omissions. Could this be outrightly intensional and deliberate?! We
hereby call for a general caution.

Education reform in Nigeria school system

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Nigerian Supreme Council for Ecclesiastical Affairs (NSCEA) has called on whichever department/group/agency/ministry to immediately amend “FORM C” to reflect the CHRISTIAN SCHOOL category in TYPE OF SCHOOL in the education system in Nigeria.

Bishop Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, the Secretary General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Ecclesiastical Affairs (NSCEA) has remarked with dismay, registered and made this urgent observation and call from the SUPREME COUNCIL.

We would recall in “June 2018, schools in Nigeria were mandated to fill a census form (attached as form A), which all endeavoured to fill.

Shortly after, the attention of the government/agency was drawn to the fact of omission of the “CHRISTIAN SCHOOL” category in the TYPE OF SCHOOL in the process of this project. The form was revised/amended in October 2018 and thereafter (attached as form B).

Surprisingly, on 10th January 2024, the CHRISTIAN SCHOOL category is OMITTED AGAIN in datastamp lurits – a Google Play Store app that schools are mandated to download and fill. (attached as form C).

We are using this medium to urge whichever department/group/agency/ministry again to please amend this form C immediately to reflect the CHRISTIAN SCHOOL category in TYPE OF SCHOOL in the datastamp lurits – a Google Play Store app that schools are mandated to download and fill. (attached as form C).

Why should the Christians always have to monitor them so closely incase of omissions. Could this be outrightly intensional and deliberate?! We
hereby call for a general caution.

This is not the first time this kind of provocative and near error is being aimed to marginalize Christian Religious Studies, CHRISTIAN SCHOOL category, Christianity and Christians in general in Nigeria.

Again, this is in the face and midst of daily daringly blatant persecution aimed at extinction of Christians by Boko Haram, ISWAP and all manner of ISLAMIST Jihadists sects in Nigeria.

“Whether it is through carrying of guns on biros, Christians and Christianity should be spared in Nigeria a secular nation,” added Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies.
