One day, we shall be history and more histories shall be created to replace the pages of our own strides. Nothing is guaranteed in the linings of this world we call earthly voyage. Yesterday was the only time guaranteed – today and tomorrow are not in any way in our hands, only the Almighty controls in absolutism those realities. Who you are and where you are today is the greatest accomplishment of your existence- your next exploits isn’t guaranteed.

We have been witnesses to the rise and fall of men, to greatness and end of women, we have lived in witnesses to the dominating aura of others in the corridors of life spheres. Greatness comes and goes so does our times in our aspirations.

Recently I went to see my dad and my eyes fell on a face, a face different from the face I had known all my life, and my mind went to my mother. She used to be the face I behold, today, it is the face of another woman and I marvelled on the conspiracy of time that gives to one prominence just this moment and leaves you forgotten the next minutes! I looked up the photo frames and inset were the new faces of a new woman, for that of my mother is now buried in the wall of memories! Subhanallah!! Indeed only time is the ultimate of a man’s greatness. Remove time from man, he is vain, empty and bare.

One day, just like others, we shall all be history in the voyage called life. Worry not too much about the things of the world, fill your mind with love and see love carry you far into the lasting embrace of time. In the long run, we are mere references in the passage of time. Nothing last forever, not even your shadow.
