In journalism today, sensationalism often overshadows substance and integrity is sometimes if not most of the time, sacrificed at the altar of popularity. Even at that, there exist a few beacons commitment to truth and objectivity.
Among these are Segun Adeniyi, Waziri Adio and Simon Kolawole, whose dedication to journalistic principles have set them apart in an era fraught with noise and partisan bias.
As an ardent reader and follower of their works (not sure I have ever missed any of their weekly columns), their insightful and incisive analysis and commentary have indeed left a lasting impression on me and many others who value quality journalism, and I want to say thank you.
For years, these fine gentlemen cum journalists have exemplified the essence of altruism in their craft. Undeterred by the shifting tides of public opinion or political influence, their pursuit of truth has remained staunch. In an age where the race for likes and shares often compromises journalistic integrity, Messrs Adeniyi, Adio, Kolawole, and some of their peers have remained resolute in their commitment to delivering objective, very well-researched, and balanced opinions.
One of the hallmarks of their approach is their unwavering objectivity in criticism. Unlike some of their counterparts (and they abound) who succumb to the temptation of pandering to the mob or advancing some form of agenda, these journalists critique with precision and fairness. Their analyses are rooted in facts, devoid of sensationalism, bigotry or personal biases. Be it scrutinizing government policies or societal issues, they uphold the principles of journalistic ethics, providing some of us with insightful perspectives that transcend the noise of partisan bickering.
Segun Adeniyi, Waziri Adio and Simon Kolawole have long been voices of reason for eons.
