Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem’s character has been put to the test as Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Federal Character for two terms, and other major posts he has championed!
Our character is a reflection of who we are and a reflection of our values, morality, and ideology. Character can create or break a person, but one’s principles and moral standards refine and determine one’s character choice.
Prof. Oba Abdulraheem, Talba of Ilorin is a man of integrity and moral standards who walks the path of honor and has never had his character questioned! Character is not defined by the clothes we wear; we either hide or shape it until we are called to leadership and achieve eminent position, at which point the character resists formation and becomes genuine! Whoever does not sully his good name and reputation by pursuing trendy status should be referred to be a leader and worthy of being entrusted with our issues.

Is there anyone who has ever questioned his integrity? Had he ever been accused of embezzlement or mismanagement of public funds? Had he ever been accused of abusing or misusing power while in power? Have we heard of any allegations of wrongdoing or moral lapses leveled against him? If the answers to the preceding questions are NO, we do not need to invalidate what has always been valid! Prof. Oba Abdulraheem, the Talba of Ilorin, is unquestionably and a man of integrity!
Although there are thousands of Talbas in Kwara, he stands out as a gold in a sea of silver in politics, and he should be allowed to rule come 2023. Talba’s undeniable character will serve as a model for future generations, ushering in our idealized Kwara.
