SAS: Another Disaster Waiting To Decimate Ogun Central -By Temidayo Akinyele

One of the traits of character that makes a mentally low-wattage individual identifiable is that they read to react and not to respond. Afterwards, they tell barefaced lies and engage in deceit which are, incontestably, the oxygen of their fraudulent trade. In his puerile piece titled, “SAS Dares Critics, Oppositions On Intellectual Discourse” as written by a fake “Adedapo Oluwasusi” who claimed to be an ardent supporter of SAS), he failed to deceitfully brand his principal (Shuaib AfolabiSalisu). . Dapo lied. After all, Dapo is a fraud as the name is nonexistent— pseudonym.

Humans tend to spend a great part of their lives in reaction to others, issues and events around them. Whereas, these reactions might not always be the best course of action. Resultantly, they can make things worse or make a situation irredeemable. Those who read to react and not to respond often react without thinking. And their basis of reaction is often predicated on fear and insecurities. Sadly, it is not the most rational, commendable  or appropriate way to act. 

Let us quickly reflect on the anonymity of the writer. Our forebears in Yorubaland will remark: “Ti ogun eni ba dani loju, a ma’an fi gbari ni”. They’ll add: “Aii to Omo ran nise ni a’nso wipe lo ra akara wa Ki a jo je”. A capable person would not hide under the guise of a pseudonym to respond to a piece they find meaningful or hurtful. By using a pseudonym, the political uselessness of the principal and the mental incompetence of his media handler surface, as mentioned in my previous piece they have validated my assertion. 

Given his thoughtlessness and zeal to defend his daily bread, “Adedapo Oluwasusi”  impatiently read my piece titled:”beware Ogun Central: SAS is a ticking time bomb”. Thus, he wove witless words that reeked of lies to defend his paymaster. Since he is intellectually-malnourished, he resorted to using unprintable words when he should have listed the achievements his principal had when he was in office. He could not! Even in this season of sycophancy, there is nothing concrete to hail about Shuaib Afolabi Salisu (SAS) as he is a patient of political barrenness. 

Philosophers are deep thinkers and leaders. They unknot knotty situations. Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher and one of the central Enlightenment thinkers. In one of his  most famous works titled “Enlightenment”, he noted: “Enlightenment is man’s release from his self-incurred immaturity. Immaturity is man’s inability to make use of his understanding without direction from another. This immaturity is self-imposed when its cause lies not in lack of reason but in lack of resolution and courage to use it without direction from another. Sapere aude! “Have courage to use your own reason!” — that is the motto of enlightenment.” The courage to use their reasoning faculty is one thing the criminally-minded and blindfolded defenders of Alhaji Salisu Afolabi lack. They do not have any modicum of enlightenment. 

Kant continued: “Laziness and cowardice are the reasons why so great a portion of mankind, after nature has long since discharged them from external direction (naturaliter maiorennes [those who come of age by virtue of nature]), nevertheless remains under lifelong tutelage, and why it is so easy for others to set themselves up as their guardian”. For as long as this dumb defender would remain lazy, coward and controlled like a sheep, if you call him the “copy and paste” guy who have no thoughts of his own and is conscienceless, you would not be wrong. And this faceless Dapo is the poster boy for the group of people who are set to sell the bad political product called SAS to us in Ogun Central. I know a handful of them. Thoughtless. Pedestrian. And illogical. An intelligent person reads to respond and not to react. 

On behalf of the  fine and diligent  Dapos of this world, an example of the Governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun who is tirelessly working to put Ogun State in his revered place among comity of states, I apologise that the coward media handler of SAS had to use “Adedapo” as his pseudonym, for he is a famished, facetious and “dunce” Dapo. Visibly, he is a “data boy”.  And to be persuaded by a “data boy” who is mouthing—online— constipated rationalizations in favour of the politics of the belly, constantly saying that Salisu is a performer because of his own stomach infrastructure, while making ends meet for himself, will amount to the funeral of Ogun Central. 

It has been established that truth is always the first casualty in war. Similarly, the first thing that gets murdered in politics is truth. Adedapo Oluwasusi would later murder the truth by saying,  “He (SAS) played a pivotal role in the restoration of the integrity of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), where he led the team that actualized the computer-based tests initiative.” He downplayed the arduous task that was done by the JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede who did what he claimed SAS did in order to brand SAS. Oluwasusi is a pathological liar, probably his boss fed him with the lies. 

He continued, “… he has built strong political clout as a grassroots politician, a strategist, and boardroom technocrat with two successive governments in Ogun State; serving as deputy Chief of Staff to Senator Ibikunle Amosun and Governor Dapo Abiodun, respectively.” Despite the fact that he has no single project to show for his holding office for such long years, his sudden pitching of tent with Prince Dapo Abiodun by betraying Senator Ibikunle Amosun shows SAS as a  treacherous and untrustworthy man who should not be trusted with power and public fund. He is a stranger to principles, except to vociferate and hop from one political bed to another as a political whore that he is:  A desperado without desiderata.

Adedapo would later finish his principal by saying: “For a man who was born and raised in one of the most remote villages in the Opeji area of Odeda local government, and was able to surmount the ordeal of poverty…” Yes! He won the ordeals of poverty by becoming extremely wealthy through politics. For someone who knows the hardships of poverty but would not alleviate his people from poverty by providing the less privileged in Opeji with scholarship as he enjoyed shows how inhuman he is as well as his scary nature of ingratitude to his God. Here is the same man who is leaving the state without any legacy and no consequential contribution for the quality of development— from him—  in his hometown. 

As a typical and greedy politician that he is, he is doing what they know how to do best, “SAS has been holding strategic meetings with relevant groups and individuals including members of community development associations…” to deceive them, to get their votes and become an “Abuja Politician” and neglect the people until he needs them again come 2027, well, HE WOULD NOT GET THERE! 

Above all, If you despise criticism and you lack the capacity to perform commendably well as evidenced by visible and solid projects that are beneficial to the life of the people you are representing, do not  hold a public office! Painfully, some low IQ-twerps will not back down from hurling a caboodle of vitriolic words against some of us who criticize their political LORD because they lack what is called ‘fluid intelligence’: the capacity to think flexibly across boundaries, just like their principals! SAS is not worthy to be a SENATOR and we will not cast out VOTES for HIM!
