Actually, it’s an undeniable fact that Religion and Politics are two different things that can never be intertwined under any condition and who ever try to do so will end up hoodwinking himself.

Imagine placing morality and immorality on a single platform, it’s something impossible because one has to supersede the other at all cost, the duo has some attributes that can’t be reconcile together. On no ground one as a cleric will move to dive in to a dirty pond at same moment pointing the attire of the attire of the it custodians with an accusing finger of being dirty and still expect people to keep pouring the water of respect upon your head, never, you can’t be playing a double card and go with clean hand.

Religion is a sacred institution that is characterized with pure sanctity, nothing improper or indecent is allowed to thrive within it real and it is seen as short cut way of meeting the maker and sustainer of one and all.

While on other hand politics is an institution of it self that is characterized by sheer mendacious activities, lies, half truth, deceit, fake promises and and all other mischievous acts that are universally considered to be taboo.

Therefore, even with regards to the above variation that manifested among the duo analyzed matters one will understand that the former can never be reconcile with the later for the roots that hold them are two unmatched things.

Also the analogy of ” Fire and cotton ” and that of ” fire and water ” are the best as well as perfect examples to cite because it will fit the discourse aptly. For the Fire and cotton, it’s obvious to all that the two matters can’t be in a particular position without one being dominated by the other, so as the fire and water.

Well, with that it becomes more fathomable that absorbing agents of morality in to politics its a great disservice to humanity for in that course men of God are expected to get compromise and bent down to the level of liars before they become recognizable in the system.

Huh! Is it a simple thing seeing our revered clergies towing on to the paths of unscrupulous elements in the name of playing politics ? No, it’s not for me, I can’t withstand eying the man I respect on religious ground kowtowing before bunch of rascals or dining on same table after he had told me they are the bad eggs orchestrating our mess.

I will no longer respect him for he has shown me a perfect act of deceit using decorated attire of clergy men and men of God, it will hurt me also and I can develop a bad thought intrinsically on condemning any religious figure trying to pinpoint us the wrong religiously because I will simply judge them as the other one who have betrayed me.

People that normalize lying, backbiting, stealing and all other social unethical practices as norms yet once as a Sheikh or Pastor calling to the saner path of the sacred religions to dive in to their corridor is this not a clear sign of mental disorder?

And people should note one thing, modern political system can hardly be changed to meet the true tenants of religion because it was established in such a way that its open to welcome any devilish idea so long as it won’t contradict the western ideology but anything apart from that hardly prevail.

Meanwhile Good and Bad are two different things that cant stay in a single entity harmoniously talk more of lasting long or thriving collectively rather they must burst and everything go it way. And also when Bad happens to be the leading figure as it often manifest in all our political affairs the good shall be found nowhere for it will definitely be absorbed by it opposite. That’s the irrationality of merging two opposite things together.

I said this because we have seen many good people with sound scholarly background in both Islam and Christianity who made to the clique of politicians with the mind of changing the narratives but unfortunately they later got lost to the bad eggs they once admonished people about and to the devils they went to fight. That’s another ugly narratives that can stand to back our argument.

Why? simply because the system was designed to favor the devils and their shenanigans, no more no less. As such, even if the good ones possess the whims to partake with pious hearts of bringing about positive change the majority of the game members will vociferously muzzle their visions and ended up making their dreams to be shattered.

Therefore, Sheikhs should stick to their normal business of calling people to a righteous path and be teaching them how to be good in a society thereby if they are lucky enough the output of their teachings become positive then one day the political system will witness a greater change in a seldom manner.

We finally hope that one day revolution will rupture the corrupt political system of ours and paves away to a mature one to thrive. A system that will minimize stealing, injustice, crime and impunity is all we crave for.

May we witness that day 👏🏾
