According to the APC, even the federal government, as widely reported in the media, has been borrowing “about N600bn monthly to pay salaries of its workers”.

The APC, however, appealed to some segments of the State and local government workforce still experiencing delay in the payment of salaries to continue to bear with the state government, promising that the APC controlled state government would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the challenge is overcome.

The party was optimistic that the on going biometric verification of workers and pensioners in the state will create a credible and sustainable platform that would aid regular payment of workers’ salaries and pensions.
