Additional Evidence That Sunday Has Something To Do With The Mark Of The Beast -By Joe Dauda

But my point is in the warning Jesus Christ gave to His disciples. This warning proves that the sabbath was never changed from Saturday to Sunday by Jesus Christ, nor was it ever changed by the disciples. (If you won’t believe me on this, at least you will believe the IAEA.)

If you have ever been told that Sunday has something to do with the mark of the beast but did not believe, here is something for you to chew on. If you won’t believe me on this, at least you will believe the IAEA.

The IAEA is the International Atomic Energy Agency. It was established by the United Nations (UN) and reports to the UN General Assembly, as well as the Security Council.

Recently, the IAEA proposed a 10-Point plan to immediately reduce oil demand globally. Point Number 3 of this plan is short but prophetically very pregnant. It simply says: Car-free Sundays in large cities.

In other words, vehicular movement should be banned in cities on Sundays. In other words, Sunday should be made holy, for that is the end goal of the car-free Sunday. The encyclical of Pope Francis in 2015 titled Laudato Si proves that to be the case. According to that encyclical, which has been supported by his words and actions since then, keeping Sunday holy is good for the environment. But what will happen to those of us who, based on the Bible and the Ten Commandments of God, keep the seventh-day Sabbath holy (that is, Saturday) and consider Sunday a working day?

As I stated in one of my articles titled: One Of These Days

Pope Francis visited Dubai in 2019 and signed The Declaration of Human Fraternity with the Muslim world. Then, in December last year (2021), Dubai suddenly abandoned the Sunday-Thursday work week they had practiced since the founding of that nation. The Sunday to Thursday work week meant Fridays and Saturdays were free days. In its place, they instituted a work week that begins on Mondays just to keep Sundays free. Since the economy cannot afford 3 free days (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) guess what the UAE (Dubai) did? They have now made Friday (the holy day of Islam) a working day.

Can you imagine that?

Sunday sacredness has everything to do with the mark of the beast. You don’t have to agree. I only sent this so you will not say you never heard.

For those interested in learning, there is more information on this matter in the article referred to above.

If you have an open mind, please consider this interesting bit of Biblical history:

In the very popular Matthew 24 chapter, before Jesus Christ gave the signs of His second coming, here is what He first said:

Matthew 24:2

“And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things: verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down”.

Bible students understand this words as prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem, which was implemented by the Roman Army General called Titus in the year AD70; that is 1952 years ago. Indeed, the second Temple, built with the blessings of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes, was completely destroyed by the Romans in AD70 according to world history. It was also burnt down. Because the pillars and other parts of this temple were plated with pure gold, the gold began to melt and drop down like rain into the ruins below. And the Roman soldiers wanted to take every bit of the gold. This was why they had to remove every stone in the temple. It was to get to the gold! And it was in this amazing way that the words of our Lord were fulfilled:

“There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down”.

But my point is in the warning Jesus Christ gave to His disciples. This warning proves that the sabbath was never changed from Saturday to Sunday by Jesus Christ, nor was it ever changed by the disciples. Decades after He had resurrected and returned to heaven, Jesus Christ expected His disciples to be faithful and strict sabbath-keepers. And so He told them:

Matthew 24:20:

“But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day”.

Which flight?

This flight had to do with what happened in Jerusalem in AD66.

Three and a half years before the actual destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in AD70, a Roman Army General called Sixtius had surrounded Jerusalem and did not lack the military capability to have taken the city at that time. But God had arranged things such that not a single disciple of Jesus Christ will be caught up in the calamity of war. So, somewhat mysteriously, General Sixtius was summoned by the Roman Emperor to return to Rome. But he and his army had already surrounded Jerusalem before this order from the Emperor.

This surrounding of Jerusalem was prophesied in coded language by Daniel in Daniel 9:26-27, referred to by Christ in Matthew 24:15, and stated plainly by Luke in Luke 21:20:

Hear how Jesus Christ expressed the matter:

Matthew 24:15, 16

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet stand in the holy place (whoso readeth, let Him understand) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains”.

Because the Bible is its own interpreter, the words of Christ are interpreted in Luke’s rendering of the same prophecy so the reader will not be left in perplexity.

Luke 13:20, 21.

“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains . . .”.

Compassed with armies = surrounded by armies

So the “surrounding of Jerusalem” was given to the followers of Jesus Christ as a sign for them to depart from Jerusalem as quickly as they could. This event took place in AD66, three and a half years before the destruction by Titus. Note that the AD66 event did not result in the destruction of Jerusalem but it served as a warning to the saints to flee — exactly as Jesus Christ had foretold and instructed. Naturally, those who were not disciples of Jesus Christ and who did not believe in Him and His words did not flee the city. If anything, they must have rejoiced in their “victory” over the Roman army, not suspecting that horrendous calamity was just three and a half years away.

The AD66 event Jesus Christ warned His saints about was at least 30 years after His resurrection. And yet He expected them to be keeping the sabbath by that time. The sabbath is a holy day and they were instructed to pray that their hurried flight out of Jerusalem will not be in the winter (which will make it arduous) or on the sabbath day — during which they were supposed to be enjoying special communion with God according to the 4th commandment as stated in Exodus 20:8-11, which differentiates the sabbath day from every other day of the week and commands those who fear God to keep it holy.

May God have mercy on all of us.

Just for the record, I don’t enjoy being obnoxious. And I’m aware that I’m hurting the feelings of my very good friends by flagging very unpopular topics like the above. But love constraints me. It is not my fault that this thing is true, neither am I blaming those who honestly do not understand the origins of Sunday observance and other false “Christian” doctrines which they heartily believe are based on the Bible. Still, if I were in your shoes, I would prefer my friend to exercise some courage and share with me what they believe is the truth. And that is the courage I have exercised. Thanks for your understanding.
