No Matter How Sinful And Godless You Are You Still Have The Capacity To Achieve Your Goals -By Joe Dauda

One of the greatest set of rebels that ever lived on this earth where the people that built the Tower of Babel. By the way, the design of the European Union building in Brussels is the same as the artist rendition of the Tower of Babel. But that is not the topic of discussion. It’s just additional food for thought.

I’m not going to show you how to achieve your goals in this article. That is a topic for another day and I believe many of you already know that. The main point of this piece is to establish the fact that you don’t need anybody but yourself as the critical factor in achieving your goals. You don’t even need God because He has already set the laws in motion and will not interfere to stop them in working in your favour simply because you are an atheist or a hypocrite pretending to be a child of God — or just a regular guy trying to have a good time without the inconvenience of religion. Don’t take my word for it. The Bible says He maketh His rain to fall on the righteous and on the wicked and maketh His sun to shine on the just and the unjust. This statement was made from the perspective of the growth of crops. And what do crops need to grow?

You guessed right — rain and sun.

The Master was saying that, if two men (one evil and the other good) cultivate crops, God will allow the critical ingredients of success for the growth of crops — sun and rain — to be available to both of them to cause their crops to grow. In other words, He will allow the evil man to succeed as much as the righteous man. If the evil man works harder and smarter than the righteous man (while both of them have equal access to the sun and the rain) that evil man can even have more to feed his family, more to sell, more money to make, and thus become richer. Where is this in the Bible?

Matthew 5:45

“For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.”

Furthermore, everybody is capable of believing something and then, through the force of their own will, achieving that thing. Again, these are not my words.

Mark 9:23

“All things are possible to him that believeth.”

God was that gracious when He created you. He gave you enormous powers to do things most of us do not even realize we are capable of doing because of lack of knowledge and lack of understanding.

You have no idea the powers you have as a human being. But, believe me, you are powerful. And there is virtually nothing you cannot do — even while rebelling against God. And I used the word virtually because, even though the Master said all things are possible to him that believes, He also said some things are only possible with God. Nevertheless, the message is clear: the rule is that you can achieve the things you want to achieve if you believe you can. Forget about the exception to the rule which must be something so miraculous and so outstanding. You can do more than you think you can! And the ability to move a mountain was the metaphorical way the Master chose to express this ability in you.

Matthew 17:20

“Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

One of the greatest set of rebels that ever lived on this earth where the people that built the Tower of Babel. By the way, the design of the European Union building in Brussels is the same as the artist rendition of the Tower of Babel. But that is not the topic of discussion. It’s just additional food for thought.

The people that built the Tower of Babel were genuine rebels. There was nothing fake about their rebellion against heaven. In fact it was so real God had to take note and use His superior divine wisdom to neutralize their plans. In spite of this dedication to disobeying God, see the type of power these people still had. The type of power that God said they had — even though they were not His friends, like father Abraham, and even while engaged in a heaven-daring project.

Genesis 11:6

“Nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do.”

Do you understand the implication of the statement made by God in Genesis 11:6?

It is probably one of the most consequential statements in the Bible.

It is like a gun manufacturer confessing that, if his gun has mistakenly fallen into the hands of his enemies, it will still be able to shoot 35 bullets per second. The fact that the gun is pointed at his country does not mean it will lose its potency. For reasons best known to Him, God chose to create man with an ability to do great things. And He did not deny this potential to those living against His commandments. The story of the Tower of Babel is proof of this.

The reason why this knowledge is important is because of today’s Christianity. Many people are marching to hell fire. But their pastors have not taught them the principle in Matthew 5:45. So most of them believe that, except God is happy with you, success will remain elusive to you. That is not true. And it is a dangerous belief.

Why so?

The idea that you cannot succeed except God is happy with you naturally results in the idea that, if you are successful, expanding, healthy, and have things going on well for you, it is evidence that God is happy with you.

Oh please don’t get this wrong.

You can be a great sinner and also be greatly successful. Stop believing that successful people have their names written in the Book of Life or that, without God, you will continue to struggle and never be successful.

No.

You are struggling because of lack of knowledge. More money is available for less work in this world today. It seems unfair: but it is true. The day labourer at a construction site may be the hardest worker in the scheme of things. But his wages for a whole year is probably less than one percent of what others earn in an hour. Especially in this Information Age.

Be responsible.

Think.

Read.

Observe.

You believe that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life; and that no man can come to the Father except through Him.

Yet you know of many people or have heard of many people who are highly successful and who do not care about any of the things you believe based on the Bible. How about nations like Japan, India, China? Their existence and success is all based on the principle of Matthew 5:45.

Or do you believe that the people who succeed outside of what you consider to be God’s blessings are all criminals?

Do you not realize that a good number of them are achieving their goals in a very legitimate way and even have a clear conscience?

So, based on the empirical evidence before you, it is clear that one can succeed without any specific attention from God.

The same applies to the law of giving, which is based on the greater law of sowing and reaping. Some people have been led to believe that, if they give to God (which translates to giving to the church) they will be blessed.

That is very true.

But it is not the whole story because, whether you give to the church or give to someone in need, or build a school for the children of poor people to attend for free, you will also be blessed.

Truth is beautiful.

Half truth is not — and could even be dangerous.

Live the way you please: achieve whatever you want to achieve; create the type of life you desire. But remember that, at the end, you must give account of your life to the One Who gave you life and gave you all those abilities.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

[13]Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. [14]For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
